Firefox keeps bugs unpatched for over 9 years

To give an example, the annoying "FTP server 215 ... is currently unsupported" message. This lingers from the way the old Mozilla (pre-Firefox) recognized FTP listings.
https://bugzilla.mozilla.org/show_bug.cgi?id=202730
Unsupported FTP server "xxxxxxx" after login and SYST command
https://bugzilla.mozilla.org/show_bug.cgi?id=277827
Unsupported FTP server "ITRON embedded printer OS"
This bug was reported in 2003, with various duplicates since then. They know what's causing the problem. Somebody sent in a patch and they still haven't fixed it. They're more concerned with bumping up the version numbers than a few simple bug fixes.

The point is that the Mozilla team are writing software for a specific audience, and it just so happens that your requirements happen to conflict with theirs. I don't follow the Firefox development team so I have no idea why the team chose to change their UI. What I do know is that you are choosing to act helpless by complaining about Mozilla's software rather than taking control over your own.
Convince the users they don't need something, make them more ignorant and unaware, make them easier to control, erode their freedoms gradually.
Don't be as the helpless people who complain about their proprietary software masters. If you are a free person, you should take responsibility for your own computing and find someone who can help you. Nobody says writing software is easy. If you find it too difficult, you should ask someone for help.
