Java

So I'm currently a C#, C++ amateur programmer, but the college I'm transferring to programs solely in Java for the first two years. So are there any good Java tutorials/compilers that /prog/ recommends ?

I'd go on /g/ but I'd probably get a link to Gentoo.

indeed, but since I have no choice in the matter I'd appreciate some pro tips if you catch my drift.

It's REALLY similar to C# in the beginning. You may notice it by the verbosity.

Just use Eclipse to get used to it, there isn't such a thing as a "good option" in Java. As for tutorials, I'll search something, but for now just google stuff like "java beginner tutorial" to get used with basic syntax.

You say you are amateur, but what kind of knowledge do you already have?

Fair enough, Eclipse is the compiler to go to I assume, as for knowledge I know some simple sorts and other fun things like list logic; honestly I just need to get familiar with the language ( instead of Console.writeline it is systemsomething now)

>>6 will do I actually checked out that site earlier BUT just had to double check, and wtf is netbeans ?

I'll probably look up eclipse tutorials and get familiar Thanks /prog/
