Everyone can't have everything because everyone's everything contradicts everyone else's everything. Humans have mutually exclusive goals with one another, and no amount of didactic, pop-psychobabble, wishful thinking or hostility will ever, ever change this.

OP said "humans". Agents living inside a machine won't be humans. And machine operation still requires energy, so nobody guarantees there won't be a schism inside a machine.
