Of course JavaScript is shit! It was standardized by ECMA. This is the same organization that put a 1900 leap year bug and wdAutospaceLikeWW7 into an international standard (ECMA-376). This is the same organization that standardized the obsolete 16-bit Windows API (ECMA-234).
