Now my computer is grinding to a halt. My bookmarks, though they exist, appear as a blank list. My desktop is black. I can no longer start any programs, not even a command prompt. Crtl-Alt-Delete refuses to summon a Task Manager. "Connection status: unknown" cries the Network Connection icon from the System Tray, yet lo and behold, I'm browsing the web. Only a reboot can fix this madness.
