Is there another language as pig disgusting as Ruby? It's worse than Perl.

Anyway, I wanna learn it. What are some good books? I tried reading ``Learn Ruby the Hard Way'' and that book basically goes ``hey, let's just assume you're fucking moron that's never used a computer before so I can spend 20 pages explaining to you what a `text editor' is and that a _ is called an `underscore'''. Doesn't even show you what an if statement looks like until chapter 50, JesusFuckingChrist.

Find something to code first, then just google or use the official doc whenever you get stuck.

Learning the syntax takes 15min of looking at some random ruby code.

Yeah, good advice. I can usually learn a new language just by looking at sample code but I had too many wtf moments reading Ruby code. I'm looking at the lexical spec now, it's coming together.
