stolen laptop, I got IP

Name: Anonymous 2012-01-21 18:40

Some guy stole my cousin's laptop (along with other people's stuff).  They just tried to get past a web security program on the computer.  Anyways the IP is 76.104.124.27.  How can I get enough info to make the police job easier?

lol, I ran the ip through whois but that info alone isn't enough.  I got the and  lat, long, which gmaps of course shows to be in the woods near some houses.  I am wandering if it can be narrowed down a little bit more.

No I'm pretty sure he had to use VB for it.

I'm pretty sure it's not illegal to hack into you're own computer ;)

should've built some home-brew security ^^

// if you could get to it's webcam (given it has one)... that would make it pretty easy you'd think =) for police or who-ever

if the browser has the geographical option enabled the police might find it crossing the IP with facebook or other famous website records

ofc they won't because no one cares
