Yes, WinAPI has better performance and looks better generally. But does this counter-balance Qt's benefit of portability?

I suppose Wine will be able to port WinAPI programs to Unix systems if the developer is disciplined. In which case the only thing stopping the developer from using WinAPI over Qt is difficulty.
