Common Lisp with types

Hey, CL is a good language, it has all these amazing tools like macros or CLOS and even assembler blocks. But. You see the shootout? CL sucks Java's dick. And even APL (what is it anyway?) has better performance CL. WTF WHY? Because all of those languages are statically typed. Why no one yet put all those fat-ass ANSI engineers and made them to write new standard with static types?
