Almost Everybody is addicted to money...

Money lets us tell other people what to do, regardless of whether it is good or bad (and it's usually the latter)

There is also a select few, being so ludicrously rich, that becoming richer is almost impossible... For them there is only one option; in order to become even richer and more powerful, they must drive the rest of the world into poverty...

Enter the global financial crisis, etc etc...

And we must also not forget as some torists put it:

Other than that - we are indeed free to trade a favor for some vodka and cookies or whatnot... but the pressure of the government regulating and taxing these transactions backs the currencies that are used, which are in turn pushed upon us by private mob families.

By the way, good thread for a change /prog/, I'm impressed.
