Irony bugs me. I like to think everyone had the idea of "ruining" jokes by explaining them or doing "bad" jokes on purpose like 100+ years ago, just nobody did because they realized how stupid it would be. Then recently people thought it was clever or whatever and started abusing it because they have nothing genuinely witty to say.
