There is nothing wrong with Lisp.

There is nothing wrong with any programming language, ever. After all, there is no perfect standard to which a language can be compared. Do you know why? It is because language is an imperfect construct, developed by imperfect beings.

If two languages are turing-complete, there should be no reason to choose one over the other because they can both theoretically perform the same operations. And because neither are perfect, there should be no reason for religious language wars.

The best decision is to not program at all.

Would you rather write a "Hello, World!" program in Malbolge or Python?

Programming is indeed done by imperfect beings, who, through their imperfections, have plenty of reasons to prefer one language over another; certain tasks or ideas are easier to solve or represent in certain languages. This is also true for human language: the Pirahã language has no way to represent numbers, making English a more comfortable language to count in.

There's nothing wrong with programming languages, but there are lots of things wrong with people. That's a great reason to hold language wars.
