There's several things wrong with that.

1. Using homophobic slurs online is not necessarily homophobic.  Counter-example: if two non-homophobic people are having a private communication in which homophobic slurs are redefined to mean non-homosexuality-related things, then no homosexual is hurt (barring magical action-at-a-distance oogey-boogey stuff) and it is not homophobic.

2. Being wrong online (e.g. by telling me that using homophobic slurs online is always homophobic) does not infringe upon my rights.

3. Unless such speech as described in (2) constitutes an immediate threat to my rights (e.g. by calling to violence against people who use homophobic slurs online or by legally banning the right to use homophobic slurs in private communications (which is unenforcible thanks to cryptography)), I don't really give a shit.
