Just Fucking Do It

I keep falling into the same trap. I try to understand too much before starting to learn a new skill.

Learning before acting is approriate when:

 1. A mistake will cause the failure of a life critical or mission critical system in operation

In all other instances, JUST FUCKING START. Go through the motions, you do not need to understand, you need to DO.

JFDI Just Fucking Do it.

More aimed at procrastination, but someone on /g/ (cool your autism) gave me the following advice:

Nothing you can do except just do it. That motivation you feel when you do something you actually want always fades quickly and after that all you can do is willpower through.
Ask yourself "Is it literally impossible for me to do X right now?" If the answer is no then start doing it. Excuses will keep popping up.
