JavaScript. I don't get it.

This is fucking /prog/, where does this pussy scripting bullshit come into play anywhere on here? It's like you people are in some middle school and giggling as you write HTML into notepad. Is this all that's left of /prog/? I'd kill to see a thread about BASIC at this point.

I mean just the lack of originality drives me up a wall. I mean sure, unless you go out and harvest metal ore and build a machine from scratch you'll always be building off of someone else's work, but there is a limit before you look outright lazy. JS isn't nearly as powerful as half of the other languages out there, starting form the fact it hides behind a huge web browser.

I'm not claiming that everything that you write from today on should be in raw machine code, but have some class (pun sort of intended). Have some pride and start something new.

So instead of sharing code in JS snippets i would have
1.write and debug C code(performance-wise thats the best choice)
2.post it on pastebin, but its not immediatly available for use
3.you might want to download a couple of libraries to compile it
4. the process of compiling the code can be stopped by compiler versions, incorrect includes or arguments(cf object link order)
5.you have to inspect the code to ensure it does not crash the system or delete all files
Compare to JS
1.write JS
2.Post to pastebin
3.Anyone can save it to .html file and run it in seconds.
