Obligatory Linux sucks thread

Hiding filenames begining with "." or "~" considered insecure.

If Bob, having a folder full of child porn, then moves it somewhere else, he has false sense of security, because law enforcement will easily find ".thumbnails" folder.

Same for Alice, who accidently deletes system files, thinking that folder is empty.

So some idiot downloads CP, can't into computer, gets caught, and that supposed to convince me that Unix/Linux sucks. lol, nope.

She should have used rmdir. You only use rm -r when you know the directory is not empty but you want to delete it anyway.
