I don't understand people's opposition to Know Your Meme. Would you prefer that memes be a `kewl sekrit klub' or that we support websites which describe memes in the context of, `Last Thursday, the epic lulz were over 9000 when...'?
Though I
would prefer something similar to the Jargon File. I considered writing it myself, but then Know Your Meme came along. Of course it's poorly written and the videos are irritating, but it does the job.
