Is anybody else in the class, what are your thoughts so far? Who wants to have a thread where we can share class notes or answer questions?

Stop seeing him.

Please try to ignore troll posts. His logic is that abstraction and imagination doesn't apply in the real world so therefore abstract logic is useless.

His "logic" is common sense.

What is the difference between "classes" and "sets"?

My bad. I had deluded myself into thinking it was all Thrun's fault in order to have false hopes. I had suppressed the memory of Norvig's tongue and plastic bag in between statements—at least he is capable of more coherently structured sentences than Thrun.

I guess the beef is really about the format of the video lectures. It seems half-assed, choppy, and detracts from the content. This is not the case with Ng...

i am loving ng's lectures so far.

* nice typed text slides that he draws on rather than sloppy marker on paper
* intuitive explanation of all the involved maths
* 1.2x speed control

Me too. And I love that we actually get to implement some. I wish the lectures would cover  bit more than the bare minimum, but oh well.

Norvig is fucking soporific. 10 text lines worth of knowledge in 2 hours video. Wow.

Thanks mentifex. It's not that I despise the views of enthusiasts or hobbyists, and surely your program took you a lot of hard work, but well... hmm... programming might not be what you're the most talented at. Thanks anyway.

Oh shit, 30 years of spamming: http://www.nothingisreal.com/mentifex_faq.html . /prog/ is now attracting world class shitposters... I even start to miss the Losethos guy.

Why are there so many crazy people on Usenet?
I like that MI5 brain control guy who posts on the uk.* groups. I hope he comes to /prog/

At least people who do boring imitations of word class shitposters, I suppose.
It was boring when he started, and it is boring now. I wouldn't let this shitposter kiss my ski boots.
