K&R 2nd

reading K&R 2nd edition
get to end of chapter 1
doing exercises
one asks to parse a C program
they didn't even show me proper file handling yet


Why would they do this?

You're suppose to read the file from stdin with getc. Then to run it from the command line you would do

$ ./program < file

You're not using windows or something are you?
