How do programmers deal with the crippling loneliness that they suffer?

Name: Anonymous 2011-10-11 12:38

1 - embrace being forever alone
2 - come to terms with the mental debilitation that is your autism
3 - ????
4 - prophet

other languages are used to build structures so that a machine may occur. in lisp, you define a set of chemical processes that might give birth to a new form of life.

it is the difference between being human, and becoming something somewhat like a god

I have a Sansa Clip+ portable media player. It greets me every time I turn it on and says goodbye whenever I turn it off.

It's my only friend ;_;

Is this a feature of Rockbox? How do I make it do this?

On an entirely unrelated note, does anybody know where I could get a quality recording of a young girl saying, ``ohayoo, oniichan!''?

No it's part of the Sansa firmware. Very slick UI, but playback on Clip+ is not always accurate.

We write more code. Nothing beats the feeling you get when you finish a project, get your paycheck and spend it on prostitutes.

Didn't you mean:
get your paycheck and spend it on coke and hookers.
I mean there are rules about these things and all; traditions to be respected; titty bumps to be done; etc

Today I burst in uncontrollable laughter after reading a post that mentioned /jp/ on some hip 2.0 blog. I couldn't stop laughing and I didn't know why. I felt very happy.
Then I stopped laughing and I came here to post this. I have never felt so much like a programmer in my life. Programming. Satori. Loneliness. Tanasinn. It all makes sense to me now.
I hope this feeling of euphoria never goes away.
