I write my algorithms in a hgih level language, I'm too valuable to waste my time on bit fiddling. All I care about w.r.t. performance is big O.
In fact I look down on people who spend two days tweaking a final percent (linear perfomance gain, lol!) on a program that's probably never going to be bound by CPU anyways. Eat shit and die nerds, I cost $300/hour so for my clients it's cheaper to just buy better hardware. Do you even have clients? Or do you have a boss? (Or do you lack even that? Are you a meager loner?)
Nobody gives a shit about your micro optimizations and manual memory management, since it takes C programmers 10 man years to write what I can singlehandedly write in one month. C programmers are like the plumbers that lay the pipes for us creators, us god men, us Master /PRO/grammers.
I don't give a fuck about a megabyte more because they're dirt fucking cheap and I DON'T SUFFER FROM OCD!
