Can anyone help me with some VB theory?

Hi /prog/,
I've been doing some theory work for programming as I just started a college course (Britfag btw) in Software Development, and I'm having trouble with some things.
If anyone could help me out it would be greatly appreciated :)
Here's my first problem: "Explain any difference or similarity between the code in event handlers in EDP and the code in a imperative/procedural program."
