Why is CS so male dominated?

Why do you think CS is so male dominated? My friend said it was because of the male programmers that are basement dwellers and smell bad.

I went to a CC where there were very few females in CS, then I transferred to a university where there were several woman but almost all of them Asian or Indian. My brother noticed the same at his university. The few white woman were always hideous hambeasts while the Asians and Indians ranged from average and up. The stereotype of no moderately attractive females in CS seems to only apply to mostly white schools, and the stereotype that all moderately attractive girls are dumb as bricks seems to only apply to white girls.
