I'm looking at this from both a usability perspective and a marketing perspective.

No. Cloud computing is slavery computing. By pushing for software on the cloud, you're pushing for proprietary software and lock-in services. You're stealing user's freedoms, without them even realizing it because they don't know any better. You're exploiting their ignorance and that makes you no better than a Jew.
