Do you agree with this statement?

"If an application can be easily implemented inside a browser, then it should be implemented that way."

I'm looking at this from both a usability perspective and a marketing perspective.

Implementing a browser application is terrible from an usability standpoint.
What the real pros do is to make desktop applications deployed in virtual cloud instances, and then they offer a WebGL-enabled VNC view of those applications. That way, you have the robustness of a web application with the convenience of native widgets.
