Basic rules of posting in /prog/

Name: Anonymous 2011-07-30 23:33

1. Read books - Because bad grammar is for noobs.
2. Learn how to use BB tags eg:
    - [code]
    - [spoiler]
3. No spamming - We hate nothing more than seeing people starting threads about smoking pot and how much Lisp sucks (Even though it does)
4. Try and keep your threads programming related.
5. If your going to troll. At least make sure you do it properly.
6. Before you start posting brush up with basic 4chan stuff like: sage and tripcodes and basic [spoiler]/prog/[/spoiler] memes. You can learn more about tripcodes on the faq section on the front page.

Why did I post this? Because I'm sick of the constant stream of crap that comes from noobs.

If you're such an average expert programmer, try looking at the fucking source, or... *gasp* Google it.

Name: Anonymous 2011-07-31 2:33

You violated every single one of your rules, well done!

Yet you only contribute to the aforementioned stream.

If it ain't Lisp, it's crap.

Name: Anonymous 2011-07-31 5:07

Even though it does
Well, no.

2. Learn how to use BB tags
Im still trying to find good BB code tutorials, there used to be a thread that listed BB code that would get bumped every once in a while. If someone could bring that up it would be nice

Currently I prefer Markdown over BBCODE, but I guess I have no choice :/

Ah well, time to unlearn the awesome Markdown markup language :c
