I don't think so, however most of the jobs I had were C++ gigs where no other language would be possible (except C but probably with a lower productivity).

by best, if you mean fastest, most memory efficient, versatile, feature rich, permissive, low level, then C++ might score high

but by best if you mean easy to work with and understand, then C++ is by far the worst
