voice control. C++

I know I can import the MS voice recognition into C++ and make it easier, but I'm simply looking at making a custom program that will run in the background that can turn off my screen, put my computer into sleep be able to come out of sleep, play music/playlist or specific songs from windows media player all by voice.

One thing at a time would be fine, but how long do you all think it would take to make this?

I would guess maybe a week or two with some work every night, but I kinda want to know.
