Ey decided to use gender neutral ``spivak'' pronouns. Eirs idea was that using them would not exclude males or females (or anything else). Does everyone agree with em?

Some words serve a structural purpose in a give language and are therefore very resistant to change. Changing pronouns is like changing demonstratives and articles: it creates a new language rather than import words into an existing language.

Hey, America! There is some jew from Ukraine, he wants to ruin your language, just like before his comrades ruined russian language with a few well executed reforms (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Reforms_of_Russian_orthography), throwing away sounds and letters, and making distinct words ambigous (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Homograph).

I'm not clear on how this relates to programming.  I'm certain this thread will segue into a programming related discussion at any moment.
