do anything like building your own computers or setting up your own servers, or do you just play around in your shitty IDEs all day making hello world programs, and arguing on /prog/ about languages you don't even use?
Do you ever do anything useful, or do you just talk a lot of shit about topics you're not even knowledgeable about?

building your own computers
What? That's a job for niggers. I sure do know how to build a computer and have done it a couple of times, but there is no reason why an educated man would enjoy a repetitive mechanical job.

There is ein old mann near mein house, he usually tends to his garten und in particular, eine kleine tree of his. Ich asked him was für und he said, "Ich liebe dieser tree, it ist mein lieblingstree." To which I responded "Ach so."

I write software more complex than hello world and get paid for it. In my spare time, I play Battlefield Bad Company 2, cook gourmet food, and work on my ``future graphics'' engine for fun and perhaps eventual profit. Sometimes I go outside and try to stare off into the distance to realize that my eye sight is getting worse.

Well duh! You are getting myopia from being inside all day, queer.

I play it on the PC. I used to play BF1942 and BF2, but those games haven't aged well in comparison to the more modernized game-play and weapon mechanics on the Frostbite engine. I'm looking forward to Battlefield 3 this fall.
>>8 I play it on the PC.
That's what I assumed. If you play Bejweled on your PC or on your Playstation 3 you're still casual.
A real man would play a real shooter.

Like what? Quake 2 & Quake 3 Arena? Unreal Tournament '99? Counter Strike? PlanetSide? ARMA/ARMAII? <insert Novalogic tactical FPS here>? I used to play those, but I've moved on.

Yes although I never played PlanetSide and almost all of the Delta Force games are terrible. I mean look at their site: http://novalogic.com/
Man up and play Quake Live or maybe some single player console games.

I'd play Quake Live, but it doesn't work on IceCat on Linux, or at least not on my machine.

Bad Company 2 isn't really that casual, it's not simply another consolized casual FPS. I believe you're thinking of Call of Duty/Modern Warfare/Medal of Honor.

Achievements is a way for a gamedev to say: "sorry we were to lazy/stupid to come up with fun gameplay".

I mean i've fixed computers, but that's not my calling. Bro, it's bad enough that programmers are labeled as nerds and tacitly shunted from society - you don't need to go creating more divisions.
Did you build your own memory controller and now you are using the chip's RAM as cache for the external memory? If not, you're just a casual. Fuck off.
