Why is it that every time that I try to ask a question on /prog/ there are a few idiots who say "Let me Google that for you" or "No Exceptions".
Really assholes? What is the point of /prog/ if everyone can Google it? I don't come here because I want google to tell me something! I come her for the personal touch and human experience.
Yea I can Google "how to use perl to tell me which words have vowels in them" but you know what I get 1,000,000,000,000 links and they are all different. Here I get a few answers and I also get a real life experience. Can Google give me that? NO!
/prog/ is starting to turn into a page where everyone is a pretentious asshole and think they are being witty by saying "Let me Google that for you" or "Read SICP". Seriously that is just stupid.
i was thinking the same way but then i jus acepted that /prog/ is a place where u can brainfart as hart as u want and that there are so many other forum where the most peopel are not some bored workles low lives so just enjoy it as a place to rest u brain

People in /prog/ often make queries that are trivial to find Google search. People here either use Google as a reflex response or they're just trolling you because they don't care at all to comprehend your query.

Because this isn't some help channel. There are places like Stack Overflow for those kinds of questions.
