ascii or unicode?

how would you rather display unicode on html pages?

would you use the actual unicode in the source code: μ

or would you use ascii html entity: μ

what are the pros and cons?

I would use the code because a lot of programs are bitches and will fuck up with UTF-8 or unicode encoding and at least using the code avoids some of that
