It's obviously underfunded, and they do indeed write more prose than code.
I'm not even sure their approach is the right one, but I think it's worth pursuing. I'm more hopeful of those working on large-scale neuromorphic hardware, even though it's more of hack, but it has a higher chance of achieving something closer to us.
