Do you believe a person's knowledge of the English language influences their ability to program goodly? Can a non-native English speaker, or non-English speaker for that matter, ever become an EXPERT PROGRAMMER

if you find out, please let me know

"for" "while" "if" "else" is all the more English you need to program proficiently.

I can hardly use the English language, but I my programming-fu is very strong. Compare that to the 100's of American kiddies you see who couldn't program their way out of a wet paper box and think that 10,000 design patters and unreadable code make for good software.

So you don't know of any good programmers who aren't English? How many great poets do you know who can't English? Fucking none, maybe one or two. How many great poets do you know period? 5? 10? How many great programmers do you know (GREAT programmers, and have actually seen/heard the work of both)

Exactly.
