Simple c# question

I'm kind of new to programming, how does one read a single button press from the keyboard, and then check to make sure that it's a printable character?

Also, how does one take a integer input from the keyboard? More specifically, how do I force the user to retry their input until it's a number I accept?

Don't start with C#, dude, it'll ruin you as a programmer. Start with one of {Pascal, Scheme/SICP, Python}, then do C and assembly. Then maybe, maybe you will be a good programmer someday years from now.
