Why do we need it, when we've associative lists and hashtables?


my_hash["type_tag"] = "Dog".

And no OOP required.

Better yet, we can use file system, instead of hash tables.


cat "Dog" > type_tag
cat "true" > barks

this way bash is much more expressive than C++.
