if you look it up, you'll find programming languages are written in the same fashion as many incantations and rituals of old. likewise, binding circles to hold a demon to the spot were traditionally made from salt--magensium, potassium, sulfate, all minerals which are found in computer monitors.
we started with primitive lifeforms on the magnavox odyssey and we've slowly built our way up over several generations. some wonder what lies beyond the future of gaming when photorealism has been achieved, virtual reality perhaps? and what of motion controls, removing the actual "system" from the user?
i only pray that we never go beyond photorealism...
