Some animals are cool pets and animals are not unworthy of life just because they can be slaughtered for food. But in the case of humans this is mostly true.

Dont worry about that, over time we will assimilate more than enough sperglords and other rejects to replace the dead /prog/dylotes, the dead ones could serve the living ones as food.
Maybe we could make our own state or so, where we devise a special breeding program to breed males and females that then again produce /prog/dylotes and replacements for themselfs. Once the breeding subjects become too old they shall become our nourishment.
And so the wheel of life shall turn on and on.
