Android programming

I'm looking to learn android programming. I'm a CS major so I am not new to programming (I'm not exactly good at it though). I want to try making applications for Android. However, I really want to physically have a book that I can read. Do you have any recommendations?

Don't do it. You'll end up either making shitty soundboards and fart apps (and then complaining that no one wants to pay $30 for them), or going insane from the amount of Java you'll have to write before your first app is anywhere near complete.

Write web apps instead. You can use sensible languages, and you probably aren't stupid enough to think someone is going to pay $30 for a fart web app.
