WHY! FOR THE LOVE OF /jp/ WHY?

Name: Anonymous 2011-02-06 1:08

I no longer care for anime. Anime was my passion. But now, my interest has faded. I have fallen from my innocence and have awakened into a dark, desolate, real world.

I have exiled myself from /jp/. This board will become my knew home. I don't know how to program, but I'll do everything I can to become a computer scientist! I am devoting my life to you now /prog/!

This is my new home.

I haven't visited /jp/ in about a week, but I can't say I post on /prog/ too much lately. I somehow ended up spending more time on /sci/ than on the other boards this past week.

I'm still curious why your interest has faded. This has never happened to me for most things. I tend to discover new things which I find of interest, instead of actually losing interest in more well-known things.

Anyways, enjoy your stay, even if /prog/ has been pretty bad lately and proceed with doing what >>2 said.

Settle down Ash, programming is a little more complex than forcing small animals to brutalize each other.

I don't know, I guess I just started to see faults in anime. Shortcuts directors took, exploits they use to garner broad fan-bases. I got used to all the tropes and I begun identifying them everywhere. I realized then that anime was no longer mysterious to me. Then I realized that I was into anime, largely because my friends were, and I wanted to be apart of something.

Ah, I see. I can easily overanalyze just about any form of entertainment, however these days I just sit back and just enjoy all kinds of media without overanalyzing it as I risk losing enjoyment in them if I do.

You don't like anime anymore. So you quit /jp/. And came to /prog/.

I guess Captain Obvious lurks /prog/ as well.

Maybe you should start playing video games. They're really fun! And I don't mean shitty JRPGs, I mean something manly like Ninja Gaiden Black or Super Mario Galaxy.

and as the moved forward through the heat of the day, guru dev paused and stopped one of the devotees to ask him a question.

"where are you going", he asked

the devotee exclaimed "but guruji, i am going with you!"

guru dev smiled, and said: "yes, of course, we are going together. and where are we going?"

"away from the man-cities of babylon, towards the pure nectar of paradise!!" exclaimed the devotee... now ecstatic with bliss.

and then the guru left him

SICP is about spirits, magic and The Sussman, 東方 is about lolis, magic and Marisa.

Dear /jp/,

Please stop trying to associate with /prog/.

Your board is for NEET and hikki circlejerking.
And body pillows.

/prog/ is for ENTERPRISE PROGRAMMERS.

Our only common ground is autism. But that alone is not enough.

It would be much appreciated if you would leave us alone.

Thanks!

Your board is for NEET and hikki circlejerking.
/jp/ is useful for weekly VNTLstatus. Everything else sucks, but those VNTL updates are awesome.

/prog/ is for ENTERPRISE PROGRAMMERS.
/prog/ is not for ENTERPRISE PROGRAMMERS, it‘s for EXPERT PROGRAMMERS whom have achieved 悟り。

Name: FH Translation Thread 2011-02-07 21:22

What is it?
A visual novel translation project started on /prog/ to translate Flyable Heart. This thread is for its discussion.

How can I help?
You can edit images. Search the archive for keyword "flyable" to get an idea of what has been edited and what hasn't, and where to find the images for editing. Our LTP is also looking for skilled cryptographers, post your PGP public key if you want more information.

What's the progress?
Translation 100%. Alpha editing 13888/73560. Image editing 15/94.

Where can I get the patch?
Follow the threads. The release schedule is once per week. We are currently in Alpha phase. Beta is tentatively scheduled for February 14th.

Why the weird names?
To differentiate between different release phases.

Which is worse, /prog/ or /jp/? Let's be honest here.

Both used to be great and both are now worthless. I'd say they're about at the same level of shitty, though /jp/ is probably very slightly shittier.

Name: Anonymous 2011-11-26 6:18

/jp/ has always been shit, right from the very beginning.

Name: Anonymous 2013-01-18 22:30

/prog/ will be spammed continuously until further notice. we apologize for any inconvenience this may cause.
