What does /prog/ think about this clever method of software versioning?
I think it's pretty cool. It tells me that the software has a clearly defined purpose. That the software programmers don't just want to feature creep the software until it dies. Rather, to make the software as good and as stable as it possibly can be at its given task. No more, no less.
Obviously, this is not ideal for all software, but I still think it's pretty cool for when it is.
