Good python projects

What are some good projects for something who is learning programming (by using Python) to work on?

Do something like Dijkstra’s eight queens problem, however, that’s been done to death, so let’s instead have two queens and seven knights, and instead of the usual 8×8 chess board, let’s have a 6×6 one.
