What is this retardedness?

WTF? I came to /prog/ expecting to see programmers discussing programming, maybe some newbs asking questions, some codes, some cool shit. But all I see is some retarded spam and retarded inside jokes (puddi? what is that?), and some children who think they're cool or funny by spamming "zomg lol puddi!1@!11@!" over and over along with retarded formatting "tricks" for 14-year-olds.

Maybe I got the wrong idea about this culture from a first superficial glance. But honestly I don't feel like lurking for a long time if it's gonna be worthless. Maybe some of the serious people here would be generous and tell me what's going on, and give me a brief idea about the place?

Then, /b/tards raided the other boards, eventually someone found /prog/. The current name of /b/ is "Why so PUDDI?", the description is "PUDDIPUDDIPUDDIPUDDIPUDDIPUDDIPUDDIPUDDI".
