Prove me otherwise, actual real world examples please.

The point is that most Lisps aren't entirely written in Lisp and depend on C. And not just to get the Lisp loaded and running, but essential parts of the runtime environment.

Also, Lisp Machines don't exist anymore, why would you bring that up?
