how much longer until HTML5 games take over flash games?

when will we see a browser built specifically for HTML5 game performance?

With HTML5 games you expose your code. People who spend their time making shitty Flash games are stupid enough to think that this is a valid reason not to switch.
I'd say five years.

Bah. Readable code can be had from decompiling Flash anyway. I'd rather face that than obfuscated JavaScript.

Then again, maybe all these JS engines should standardize on a VM spec and we'd have a very interesting world indeed. Not to mention Adobe could produce a Flash product that targets JS /HTML5/Tech-du-Jour.

Several years. One can expect quantum computers before widespread html5 games.

HTML5 is too slow. Maybe ff/ie/opera will  at least understand one day that dynamic typing is bad for performance and will add static types as extension to javascript. Until then flash will dominate as game platform.

Obfuscate all you want. If people can take the time to reverse Nvidia drivers, people can take the time to reverse your shit.
