Has anyone noticed there is no reasonable dialogue about C++? People moan and wail about how C++ makes them shoot themselves in the foot, is a clusterfuck of incompatible junk added to C, creates incomprehensible code they cant fix. Then you show them a language that has strong typing, that checks array bounds. That makes every effort to allow the programmer to define fine grain types and does all this without having to run on a VM. And then you show them this language, this language called Ada, and they look at you like youre showing them a musket and go back to weeping and wallowing in their C++ shit. Only an enlightened few in the programming world are smart enough not to needlessly flagellate themselves when building large scale apps

Does ADA support OO, though?

Name: Anonymous 2010-09-10 20:17

>>11
yes of course it does

it also supports modules, it doesnt rely on classes or header files to create modularity like C++

Just a reminder, Ada is not an acronym (ADA = wrong), it is named after the name of a person, Ada Loveless
