A China-based outsourcing company called Bleum requires that all job applicants for computer science positions have a minimum IQ of 140. Bleum recently announced that it will hire Americans who are willing to move to China -- but, according to Bleum, it couldn’t find enough Americans that met its minimum requirements for intelligence. Bleum decided to lower its minimum IQ to 125 to compensate for the weak talent pool in the United States
This assumes a few things that may be incorrect.
1. IQ tests are accurate
2. IQ represents a true measure of an individual's intelligence
3. Computer science positions need intelligent persons

Ok, seriously... the Chinese version of the WISC IQ test is slightly culture dependent. They have many questions that would be inappropriate to non-Chinese subjects. Its like asking a black person to describe as many items commonly found on a Yacht in 20 seconds. (I apologize for the racism, but it gets the point across)

IQ tests are weird. They test primarily for abstract problem solving ability. People can have REALLY high IQs and be incredibly incompetent socially or otherwise. Concrete thinking is nearly left out of almost every IQ test I have ever come across.

Left hemisphere dominant whites handle sequence memorisation better, thus they make better programmers. This is the reason why there is no great world class software product from Asia, as Asians struggle on sequences.
