Which is what the entire point of this conversation was. >>27 says "Learning ASM won't teach you how a computer works", because an assembly language is the contract, the interface, and it could be realised an infinite number of ways. As far as an Assembly language programmer is concerned, the computer is a black box that obeys an interface and it doesn't matter how it does that. OR let me put it one other way, Assembly Language is just another programming language.
