No-one disputes that, but it brings us back to the original point, that knowledge of the interface does not give you knowledge of the internals ,or to put it bluntly, HOW IT WORKS. Which is fine, you can do useful things with that knowledge, but you can't claim you understand the hardware. A computer architecture class is more than an assembly tutorial
