neckbeards

OK I'm just wondering because I'm kinda new here, but what is a neckbeard? Is it literally someone who has beards on their necks, or is it some kind of derogatory term against programmers?

Neckbeard - nerdy basement dwelling and/or home stranded males. They refuse to shave beard or facial hair, leave house or get social and be a productive member of society(in terms of non-digital production).
SEPPLES - fan nickname for C++ deriving from its phonetic corruption of CeePlusPlus
BB-Code expert - they (mostly) use programs to automatically generate intricate geometric patterns and elaborate text hacks to emphasize their "secret knowledge" of text modification. Its a digital art like people drawing ASCII birds(which also have programs to generate and aid generation of said art).
